The Metminwi is a beast originating from Haiti. He is a 2 floor tall man that stalks the streets at night eating anyone who is out after dark. I find the idea of a huge creature that lumbers through a town very inspiring, he reminds me somewhat of a hungry carnivorous BFG.
I designed hum as a thin limbering man with a bulging belly originally but further designing made me choose to create a more quadrupedal spider like creature with thin spike like legs. I wanted to draw a comparison to it and a insect like a daddy long legs as I felt it would be both intimidating and humorous.
